Khalid is setting the record straight amid theories claiming he “came out” as a publicity stunt to promote his upcoming singles with Chloe Bailey, Ayra Starr, and Normani.

Days after first promoting the songs on X (formerly Twitter), Khalid wrote in response to the speculation:

“Some of y’all are delusional lol, and a few of y’all are giving me too much credit. I promise y’all… ? I would never try that hard to come up with a scheme—it ain’t that deep.”

The rumors surfaced after a man named Hugo, who claimed to have dated Khalid four years ago, accused the artist of theft, drug use, and abuse in now-deleted tweets. Khalid denied the allegations and admitted the ordeal was triggering.
