André 3000 Credits Kendrick & Drake As Inspiration For A Potential Rap Album
André 3000’s flute album was a masterpiece, but the legendary artist might be open to dropping another hip-hop album.

This possibility is partly influenced by artists like Kendrick Lamar and Drake. In an interview earlier this fall, André 3000 shared how important it is to be surrounded by rappers when trying to create.

He explained, “I think what would help me make a rap album is being around rappers. When I moved to California, I wasn’t writing. I’ve talked to Kendrick [Lamar]. We talked, listened to beats.”

He added, “Same with Drake. And as a rapper, they would be surprised to hear me say this, but at one point, I was like, ‘Man, it would be cool to just hang out with them to get the energy of rapping.’ Because when they’re doing it so constantly, something got to drip off. They do four, five songs a day, and I’m like, ‘What?’”

André 3000 fans might just have something incredible to look forward to. *Are you here for it?*
