Jay-Z Trends After His Lawyer Claims He & Diddy Have No Friendship
Jay-Z is trending after his lawyer denied any friendship between him and Diddy.
In an interview with NBC News, Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, addressed the civil case accusing both men of s*xually a$$aulting a 13-year-old Jane Doe at the 2000 MTV VMAs after-party. Alex Spiro pushed back on the claims, saying,
“This case needs to be dismissed, and Mr. Carter’s name needs to be fully cleared.”
However, it was Alex Spiro’s remarks about Jay-Z and Diddy’s relationship that raised eyebrows. Alex Spiro stated,
“There is no friendship or longtime bond here. Just because they knew each other, know each other, that doesn’t mean anything.”
Social media wasn’t buying it, especially given the years of photos showing Jay-Z and Diddy together at industry events. One user tweeted,
“Nobody will ever believe that Jay Z and Diddy were NEVER Friends. It feels like Jay Z knows he’s guilty about something.”
In contrast, another defended Jay-Z, adding,
“So y’all don’t know the difference between industry friends and real friends. Show me a picture of Jay Z and Diddy outside of industry parties and sports games.”
