Delta Passenger Outraged After Being Forced To Give Up First Class Seat To A Service Dog: ‘An Absolute Joke’
A frequent Delta flyer was not too pleased about being bumped from their first-class seat in favor of a service dog.
The frustrated passenger took to Reddit to share their experience, claiming the airline downgraded their first-class upgrade to accommodate the service animal, initially offering only the vague explanation that “something changed.” Upon boarding the plane and discovering the dog occupying their seat, the user wrote:
“There is no way that dog has spent as much with this airline as I have … What an absolute joke. What’s the point of being loyal to this airline anymore, truly.”

The traveler said they contacted Delta immediately about the situation. The airline explained that relocations can occur for service animals. However, the disgruntled passenger expressed dissatisfaction with the response, accusing Delta of “mistreating customers lately and slipping in service levels,” adding:
“I’m starting to question my allegiance as well.”
