‘Squid Game’ Season 2 Breaks Netflix Viewing Records, On Track To Overtake Season 1
Season 2 of “Squid Game” is breaking records, with 68 million views in its first four days, making it Netflix’s biggest TV debut ever. In its first full week, it added 58.2 million views, bringing the total to 126.2 million in 11 days, surpassing any other Netflix series in that time frame.
The season quickly rose to No. 2 on Netflix’s most popular non-English series list, behind only Season 1, which had 265.2 million views in its first 91 days. With 80 days left, Season 2 is on track to surpass that. It also dominated the week of Dec. 30 to Jan. 5, ranking as Netflix’s most-watched series, while Season 1 saw a boost, reaching 13.6 million views and ranking No. 2 in English-language series.
