Quando Rondo Begins 33-Month Sentence In Ohio Prison For Federal Drug Charges
Quando Rondo has reportedly begun serving his 33-month sentence for federal drug charges at the Federal Correction Institution Elkton in Lisbon, Ohio.
Rondo, whose real name is Tyquian Bowman, was initially charged with two counts of conspiring to violate Georgia’s controlled substances law, one count of participating in criminal activity affiliated with a street gang, and one count of using a cell phone illegally to facilitate a drug transaction.
However, the 25-year-old reached a plea deal with prosecutors, pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana, which led to a reduced sentence of 2 years and 9 months, down from the original 5 years.

In addition to his sentence, Rondo faces a $40,000 fine, probation, and requirements for drug testing, mental health counseling, and educational training upon release.
In a statement to WJCL 22 last month, the rapper expressed that he views this time as an opportunity for personal growth, stating:
“As crazy as it sounds, that’s enough time to really sit down, rehabilitate myself, come up with some better plans, and move forward for my family and friends.”
