Michael Strahan Opens Up About Daughter Isabella’s Strength During Cancer Battle

Michael Strahan is opening up about his daughter Isabella’s inspiring journey to beat cancer.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the NFL Hall of Famer and TV host shared emotional details about Isabella’s 2023 medulloblastoma diagnosis. Strahan admitted the news left him reeling, saying,

“It puts you in a state of panic as a parent.”

Despite the fear, Strahan found reassurance in his 20-year-old daughter’s determination:

“One of the things she said to me one time, probably the hardest thing I ever had to hear, was, ‘Dad, I’ll do whatever. I want to live.’ It shocked me… but it was also a reassuring moment because I knew she wouldn’t quit. She was going to fight, and she did.”

Isabella underwent surgery, as well as chemotherapy and radiation treatments, following her diagnosis. Today, she is cancer-free, though the family still faces the anxiety of routine scans to ensure the disease hasn’t returned.
