Wendy Williams’ Family Hires Attorney To ‘Address All Issues’ In Controversial Guardianship
The family of Wendy Williams is preparing to take legal action against her controversial guardianship.
In a recent update shared via Wendy’s GoFundMe, it was revealed that the family has retained an attorney to represent her niece, Alex Finnie, in the forthcoming legal proceedings. The account manager noted that the fundraiser’s goal is to “address all issues pertaining to Wendy Williams’ guardianship.”

As previously reported, Wendy’s guardianship has drawn significant media attention after the media mogul alleged in multiple interviews that her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, has been exploiting her.
In response, Wendy’s family launched the GoFundMe campaign to challenge the conservatorship, writing in the fundraiser’s description:
“[Wendy’s] current situation is not only unfair but also deeply isolating. The guardian assigned to her has severed her connections with friends and family, leaving her without the support network she so desperately needs. This isolation in New York has made it increasingly difficult for her to maintain her strength and resilience.”
Although the campaign has yet to reach its $50K goal, they shared that $20K of the money raised so far has been allocated to keep the attorney on retainer.
