Kid Cudi Speaks Out After ‘Unhinged’ Fan Broke Into His Home During L.A. Wildfires: ‘I Don’t Feel Safe’
Kid Cudi recently opened up about his Los Angeles residence being invaded while calling out those making light of the situation.
In a post uploaded to his Instagram story, the rapper wrote:
“Hey, so I wanna clear this up ’cause I see the internets running w things and making jokes, and this s**t is not funny. The person that broke into my house was a crazed fan that has been stalking me for years without me knowing.”
He continued:
“He’s been to shows, events I’ve done in the States and overseas. He drove across the country and broke into my house hoping to talk w me about collabing and ideas he had. There is nothing funny about this. My privacy was violated, and now I have to protect myself. I dont feel safe now.”

According to reports, the 34-year-old intruder took advantage of the devastating California wildfires, which forced Cudi to evacuate his home. While there, the man allegedly rummaged through Cudi and his fiancée’s belongings, ate food, used his shower, and even attempted to pitch collaboration ideas to the artist.
Police arrested the man and charged him with felony burglary and theft of utilities. Cudi clarified that the individual wasn’t homeless, but rather an “unhinged” man. Expressing his unease, he added:
“If I’m standoffish when you see me in public now, this is why.”
