Angel Surprises Her Mom w/ Paid-Off Mortgage For Her Birthday

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese stunned her mother, also named Angel Reese, with an emotional surprise on the latest episode of her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast. As part of her mother’s birthday celebration, Reese revealed she had paid off her mother’s mortgage, telling her that she no longer needed to work.

The moment brought Mama Reese to tears, though she held back her emotions as her daughter sang “Happy Birthday” to her. “That was my biggest goal in life,” said Reese. “To retire you, and to pay your mortgage.”

Reese, whose hard work is paying off, also recently partnered with McDonald’s to launch the “Angel Reese special,” marking the fast-food giant’s first national deal with a female athlete. Fans can also catch Reese on the court this Friday, Jan. 31, when her team, Rose BC, faces the Phantoms BC.
