Freddie Gibbs Accuses Drake & PartyNextDoor Of Copying His Style w/ Their Joint Album
Freddie Gibbs has accused Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR of copying his style with their upcoming album, “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U” (stylized as $$$4U).
The project’s title closely mirrors Freddie Gibbs’ 2022 album, “$oul $old $eparately” (also abbreviated as $$$), and its cover art features cartoon bunnies similar to Freddie Gibbs’ longtime “Big Rabbit” mascot.
Taking to social media, Gibbs expressed his frustration, writing, “Damn they even stole the rabbits too. I’m flattered” after the tracklist for “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U” was revealed.
He also retweeted fans calling out the duo for alleged imitation.
While Gibbs and Drake haven’t collaborated, Gibbs has referenced Drizzy in his music before. In 2021, he dropped a freestyle over Drake’s “Champagne Poetry,” and responded publicly to the rap titans’ diss track exchanges last year.
Is Freddie reaching or did Drizzy and Party copy his style?
