Young Scooter Celebrated In Atlanta Ceremony That Drew Hundreds Of Mourners
Young Scooter was laid to rest Monday at St. Phillips AME Church in Atlanta, a little over a week after his death on March 28—his 39th birthday.
Police say a false 911 call led officers to the scene, where the rapper attempted to flee and suffered a fatal leg injury. His death was ruled accidental. The woman behind the call, Demetria Spence, was arrested.
Days ahead of the funeral, supporters gathered at a Kirkwood vigil, where loved ones remembered Young Scooter with a balloon release.
