50 Cent Disses ‘Power’ Co-Creator Courtney Kemp’s New Netflix Series After Comparison To Starz Show: ‘This Ain’t It’
50 Cent isn’t here for what’s being called a “Power reunion”—especially when it lacks his approval or connections.
The rapper and executive producer voiced his disappointment over Courtney A. Kemp’s upcoming Netflix series “Nemesis,” which Deadline compared to “Power.” They seemingly did so due to alum Shane Johnson, who starred in “Power” and will now star in “Nemesis.”
50 Cent wasn’t impressed. He reposted Deadline’s article about the forthcoming production.
“Nah this ain’t it,” he commented. “A Power reunion with one cast member? I don’t know none of these [ninja emoji]s. Ain’t nobody jackin this sh*t! LOL.”

“Nemesis” tells the story of an unstoppable criminal meeting an immovable police detective. Courtney Kemp described the show as a psychological crime drama exploring universal themes. While Courtney Kemp is busy with this project, 50 Cent is still focused on expanding the “Power” universe, teasing *Power Origins* and a prequel centered on young Ghost and Tommy.
