Tina Knowles Confirms She’s Been Spending Time w/ A ‘Very Nice Gentleman’ Following Divorce From Actor Richard Lawson
Tina Knowles is embracing new beginnings and romance.
Nearly two years after her divorce from Richard Lawson, the 71-year-old matriarch tells PEOPLE,” I am spending time with a friend,” describing him as a “very nice gentleman. We’ll see what happens.”
Tina Knowles and Richard Lawson were married for eight years before she filed for divorce in 2023, citing irreconcilable differences. They had married in 2015. In her memoir “Matriarch?” she reflects on the relationship, writing, “Love is patient, love is kind… not a competition or mired in jealousy.”
She says the split was made “with a heavy heart but totally without malice,” and she hasn’t “lost a night of sleep over it.” Contrasting this with her first marriage to Mathew Knowles, she writes, “I was caught in this dance with him… He would cheat or act up, and I would say I’d had enough.” Now, she’s choosing joy and self-love: “It’s fun looking sexy. It makes me feel sexy.” Above all, she says, “I’m making the best of every day that I have left in this life.”
Y’all think Miss Tina will show us her new man?
