Trey Songz Drops Comeback ‘Gimme A Chance’ Amid Legal Woes & Label Split [LISTEN]
Trey Songz is making a bold return with his new indie single “Gimme a Chance,” dropping this New Music Friday.
A source tells TMZ the track will address his public controversies, touching on “redemption and reconciliation — not just romantically, but in the broader sense.” Though he stops short of apologizing, Trey Songz appears to own up to past mistakes, singing, “I got knives in my back / But it’s time, b****, I’m back … Just tell me that you tryna make it work / Cause I wanna make it right with you.”
Following a $11 million judgment against him last November and other ongoing legal woes, Trey Songz is now releasing music independently via Virgin after parting ways with Atlantic Records.
