Kim Kardashian Expected To Testify In Paris Robbery Trial Nearly 9 Years After The Incident
Kim Kardashian is back in Paris for a trial nearly nine years in the making.
The case surrounding the 2016 robbery of Kim begins on April 28, with 10 defendants facing charges of robbery, kidnapping, and abduction. Kim is expected to testify in person, with her legal team stating,
“Ms. Kardashian is reserving her testimony for the court and jury and does not wish to elaborate further at this time. She has great respect and admiration for the French justice system and has been treated with great respect by the French authorities. She wishes the trial to proceed in an orderly fashion, in accordance with French law and with respect for all parties to the case.”
In 2016, Kim was tied up and robbed at gunpoint while staying at a luxury apartment during Paris Fashion Week. She has previously described the ordeal, saying she feared for her life.

The thieves, mostly elderly men with lengthy criminal records, stole more than $6 million worth of jewelry. Only one piece, a diamond cross, has been recovered. The alleged ringleader, Aomar Aït Khedache, is among the accused and is linked to the crime through DNA found at the scene. Co-defendant Yunice Abbas admitted to his role but claimed he did not threaten Kim directly. Some suspects are also accused of reselling the stolen jewelry in Antwerp, Belgium.
The trial is expected to run through May 23.
