Shannon Sharpe Criticized For Claiming Daughters’ Wedding Budget Is $30K In Resurfaced Clip, Despite Offering R@pe Accuser $10 Million
Shannon Sharpe is catching heat online after a video of him discussing his daughters’ wedding budgets resurfaced amid serious allegations.
In a now-viral post, one X user called out the NFL Hall of Famer, writing:
“I just seen that Shannon Sharpe told his daughter her wedding cut off was 30K… same man who was just about to offer a white woman 10 million…”
The video comes from a past episode of Night Cap, Sharpe’s podcast with Chad Johnson, where the two talked about how much they’d spend on their kids’ weddings. Sharpe said he’d cap each of his daughters at $30,000, and joked that they could serve spaghetti and fried fish instead of pricey menu options.

The resurfaced clip is now sparking fresh backlash after recent claims from a woman accusing Sharpe of sexual assault. As reported, Sharpe’s lawyer confirmed he tried to settle with the woman, offering her at least $10 million during mediation. However, she declined, moving forward with a $50 million lawsuit. Despite the settlement attempt, Sharpe has maintained his innocence and remained adamant that the entire ordeal is a shakedown.
What are your thoughts? Does the X user have a point, or are they reaching?
