A viral post on X has sparked a major debate after a user suggested it’s inappropriate for parents to book hotel rooms for their kids after prom night. The comment struck a nerve, and now the timeline is split.

Some users chimed in with their own stories, saying they were allowed to stay at a hotel and it was nothing more than a fun hangout with friends, no sneaky business involved.

Others, however, strongly disagreed. One user even joked that their “villain origin story” began in an after-prom hotel room, with others agreeing that the setup can easily lead to risky or inappropriate behavior.
