Former NFL tight end Kevin Ware Jr., who played for Washington and San Francisco, has pleaded guilty to the 2021 murder of his girlfriend, 29-year-old Taylor Pomaski.

She was reported missing after a party at her home in Spring, Texas, on April 25, 2021, and her remains were found months later in a remote area.

Loved ones described Taylor as kind, vibrant, and full of life. Witnesses shared with authorities accounts of past domestic abuse and disturbing behavior from Ware. Jury selection in the case was set to start soon, but on May 7, Ware accepted a 30-year prison sentence as part of a plea deal.
