Finesse2Tymes Cleared In Alleged Thr3at Case After Prosecutors Drop Charges Citing Lack Of Evidence
Rapper Finesse2tymes has secured a legal victory as the terroristic threats case filed against him earlier this year has been officially dismissed. According to court documents obtained by TMZ Hip Hop on May 9, 2025, prosecutors moved to drop the charges, stating the allegations could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. A judge subsequently approved the dismissal.
Carl A. Moore, legal counsel for Finesse2tymes (real name Ricky Hampton), issued a statement to TMZ Hip Hop, asserting, “Mr. Ricky Hampton maintained his innocence from the onset of this case, and justice prevailed today.”
The case stemmed from a January incident in which Finesse2tymes was accused of threatening to shoot a woman during a disagreement involving a preteen boy named King, whom the artist had reportedly been mentoring.
The relationship between the rapper and the child has since deteriorated, and with the dismissal of the charges, Finesse2tymes appears poised to move forward from the legal ordeal.
