Janet Jackson will receive the ICON Award at the 2025 American Music Awards on May 26 in Las Vegas.
CBS and Dick Clark Productions praised her as
“one of the most influential entertainers of the modern era.”

The award honors artists with a “cultural and global influence,” previously awarded to Rihanna and Lionel Richie.
Janet Jackson, an 11-time AMA winner, will also deliver her first televised performance since 2018. She’s also performing six shows at Resorts World as part of her “JANET JACKSON: LAS VEGAS” residency.
