According to TMZ, the 36-year-old R&B artist was taken into custody at his hotel early on May 15, just hours after landing in Manchester on his private jet. Chris is facing charges of suspicion of grievous bodily harm. The allegations stem from a nightclub altercation that took place over two years ago.
Reportedly, the incident dates back to February 19, 2023, at Tape nightclub in London’s Mayfair district. Music producer Abe Diaw claims Chris assaulted him during a fight, allegedly striking him with a bottle before punching and kicking him.

Diaw’s attorney commented on the case, stating:
