Jodie Turner-Smith’s Ex, Actor Joshua Jackson, Makes Emergency Move In Ongoing Custody Battle
The custody battle between Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith is escalating.
Joshua recently filed an emergency motion to keep their 5-year-old daughter Juno at her current school for the 2025–2026 year. He alleges Jodie enrolled Juno in a new kindergarten without his consent and outside their agreed-upon 45-minute commute limit from his home.
The motion states, “Respondent respectfully requests orders ensuring that the minor child continues attending her present school for the next academic year 2025–2026, and for the parents’ joint consent to be required for any subsequent school change.”
Joshua also claims Jodie violated their agreement by not consulting him, and raised concerns about her plan for Juno to rely on tutors and remote learning while she films in London: “Even in the best case it cannot begin to provide a child with the same nurturing and enrichment, peer relationships and social skills that a classroom and school community environment provides.”
The couple recently finalized their divorce, agreeing to joint legal and physical custody with equal timeshares. They are set to return to mediation later this month.
