‘Black-ish’ Star Marcus Scribner Joins CBS’ ‘Blue Bloods’ Spinoff ‘Boston Blue’ As Rookie Cop Jonah Silver
Marcus Scribner is stepping into a new kind of uniform. The “Black-ish” star has been cast as a series regular in “Boston Blue,” CBS’ upcoming “Blue Bloods” spinoff. Scribner will play Jonah Silver, “the youngest member of the Silver family and… in law enforcement like his mother and sisters — each of whom are formidable in their own ways.”
The ensemble includes Gloria Reuben as district attorney Mae Silver, Ernie Hudson as her father Reverend Edwin Peters, Sonequa Martin-Green as detective Lena Silver, and Maggie Lawson as Jonah’s stepsister Sarah. Donnie Wahlberg reprises his iconic “Blue Bloods” role, Danny Reagan, who now teams up with Lena in Boston.
“Boston Blue” premieres this fall on CBS.
