Nicki Minaj Fires Shots At Jay-Z & Shannon Sharpe On Lil Wayne’s ‘Banned From NO’ Remix & Fans Have Mixed Reactions
Nicki Minaj stirred up controversy with her fiery verse on the remix to Lil Wayne’s “Banned From NO,” taking shots at both Shannon Sharpe and Jay-Z. One line in particular had fans buzzing: “‘Bout to cop you slides, all you do is flip-flop, if I send a pic of Shannon, you ain’t that Sharpe.”
Elsewhere in the verse, Minaj seemingly criticizes Jay-Z and the NFL for overlooking Lil Wayne for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans, rapping, “NFL, fire some n*ggas and then call us.”
Fans quickly interpreted this as a shot at Jay-Z’s role in the league’s entertainment decisions.
Though she missed the original tracklist, Nicki’s return on this remix is making headlines—and keeping the Barbz fed.
