R. Kelly — Family Of Singer’s Victim Slams His Attempt For Pardon By Trump
Joycelyn Savage’s family isn’t here for R. Kelly vying for a presidential pardon.
In a statement to TMZ, Gerald Griggs, the attorney for Joycelyn’s parents, made it clear that R. Kelly should absolutely not be pardoned, pointing out that they still haven’t been in direct contact with their daughter since a brief phone call in 2019.
The family believes Joycelyn is still alive and hopes she’s healthy, but says they’ve only heard from people claiming to represent her. It’s unclear in what capacity those individuals are speaking.
Joycelyn, who was once described as R. Kelly’s fiancée, has long been viewed as one of his alleged victims. Her family says Kelly has never taken accountability, was rightfully convicted, and should serve “every last day” of his 31-year sentence.
If you recall, R. Kelly was convicted on charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering in two separate trials… one in New York in 2021 and another in Chicago in 2022. He’s now seeking a pardon from President Trump after claiming that prison officials were plotting to k*ll him.
