‘Love Island USA’ Issues Statement Against ‘Cyberbullying’ After Contestants Allegedly Receive Hate Messages & Death Threats
Love Island USA is speaking out against alleged cyberbullying and harassment targeting its Season 7 contestants.
As the hit dating series continues to grow in popularity, producers aired a serious message at the start of the June 24th episode, addressing the rise in online negativity. The on-screen note read:
“THE KEYWORD IN LOVE ISLAND IS…LOVE. WE LOVE OUR FANS. WE LOVE OUR ISLANDERS, WE DON’T LOVE CYBERBULLYING, HARASSMENT OR HATE.”
The show followed up with a “friendly reminder to our Love Island USA family,” sharing an additional statement on social media:
“We appreciate the fans, the passion for the series, and the amazing group of Islanders who are sharing their summer with us…Please just remember they’re real people so let’s be kind and spread the love!”

The public statements come amid a major spike in online engagement this season, and following a shocking elimination that saw fan favorites Hannah and Jeremiah sent home, while more controversial contestants like Huda remain in the villa.
Host Ariana Madix also addressed the issue earlier in the season, calling out the disturbing levels of hate some islanders have received. During a past episode, she told viewers:
“Don’t be contacting people’s families. Don’t be doxing people. Don’t be going on islanders’ pages and saying rude things.”
Are you surprised to hear that contestants have been victims of cyberbullying?
