Cassie Asks Judge To Deny Diddy’s Immediate Release Request + Prosecutors Say He Faces ’51 To 63 Months’ In Prison For Two Convictions
Cassie and her legal team are pushing back against Diddy’s attempt to be released from federal custody as he awaits sentencing.
In a letter submitted to the judge on behalf of Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, her lawyers urged the court to deny Sean “Diddy” Combs’ request for immediate release, arguing that he “is likely to pose a danger to the victims who testified in this case, including herself, as well as to the community.”

The letter follows Diddy being acquitted on three of the five major charges against him, including RICO and sex trafficking allegations. However, he was ultimately found guilty of violating the Mann Act by transporting Cassie and another former girlfriend, referred to as “Jane,” across state lines for illegal activity. After the verdict, Diddy’s legal team requested his release on a $1 million bond, proposing he be remanded to his Miami home until sentencing.
Despite beating the major charges, Diddy is still facing potential prison time. Legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff reported that federal prosecutors expect Diddy to be sentenced to “at least 51 to 63 months” behind bars for the two prostitution transportation convictions.
As of now, the judge has not yet ruled on whether Diddy will be released on bail.
