Cardi B’s Lawyer Slams Microphone-Throwing Lawsuit: ‘A Transparent & Pitiful Attempt At A Financial Shakedown’
Cardi B’s legal team is speaking out after she was hit with a lawsuit over the 2023 microphone-throwing incident.
In a statement to TMZ, Cardi’s attorney Drew Findling called the new civil suit “a transparent and pitiful attempt at a financial shakedown.” He continued:
“The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Clark County District Attorney’s Office closed this matter for insufficient evidence a long time ago, but apparently the opportunity to try to make money off of a celebrity was too much for some willing law firm to pass up.”

As previously reported, Cardi threw her mic into the crowd during a heated moment at Drai’s Beachclub in Vegas. The mic struck a concertgoer, but the incident was investigated, and she was cleared of criminal charges.
Now, the alleged victim is suing for assault, battery, and negligence… even claiming that the mic being auctioned off for charity caused her emotional distress.
