GloRilla’s Lawyers Call Felony Drug Charge ‘Unbelievable,’ Say Police Targeted Her For Marijuana Instead Of Arresting Home Invaders
GloRilla’s legal team is calling foul play after the rapper was charged with felony dr*g possession in Georgia.
In a statement to TMZ, her attorneys Marissa Goldberg and Drew Findling said:
“The arrest of Gloria Woods is a disturbing window into how warped law enforcement priorities have become. […] Her family members did the right thing and called law enforcement. Instead of investigating the v*olent home invasion and theft at Ms. Woods’ home, they sought a search warrant after spotting what they believed was a small amount of marijuana. Law enforcement then pursued arrest warrants for her, even though she hadn’t been at her home for some time. No arrest warrants have been issued for the v*olent home invaders. Ms. Woods is a victim, not a suspect. This is our tax dollars at work. Absolutely unbelievable.”
If you recall, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the situation began around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday (July 19) when three suspects broke into Glo’s home in the Atlanta suburbs and fled with jewelry before officers arrived.

While searching the property, deputies claimed they smelled marijuana and secured a search warrant. They say they found “a significant amount” of weed in a closet and later charged GloRilla with felony possession of marijuana.
Glo voluntarily turned herself in on Tuesday (July 22) and was released the same day on $22,260 bond.
