Former Astronomer CEO Reportedly Wants To Sue Coldplay Over Concert Affair Leak, Citing ‘Emotional Distress’ & ‘Breach Of Privacy’

The former CEO of Astronomer, whose affair was exposed in a viral kiss-cam video at a Coldplay concert, is reportedly considering legal action against the band.

A source close to Andy Byron told Page Six that he wants to sue Coldplay for “emotional distress” and “breach of privacy,” saying: “He feels publicly embarrassed and believes the band turned him into an internet meme without his permission.”
________

As you may recall, Andy resigned from his role after the viral video showed him getting cozy with Astronomer’s then-HR head, Kristin Cabot, during a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts. The pair quickly tried to duck away after appearing on the kiss cam, but not before frontman Chris Martin joked from the stage: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy.”

Both Andy and Kristin have since resigned from the company. Andy’s wife has reportedly moved out and removed his last name from her social media profiles, while Kristin is said to still be with her husband.

________

Sources claimed Chris Martin laughed off the idea of a lawsuit. And according to legal experts, Andy’s case doesn’t look strong. One attorney noted he could only sue for defamation if he could prove he wasn’t actually having an affair with Kristin. Another lawyer added:

“In a stadium packed with 70,000 people and cameras everywhere, it’s hard to argue privacy was violated. This looks more like damage control.”

As of now, Andy has not commented publicly on the potential lawsuit.
