Former ‘RHOA’ Star Peter Thomas Begins Serving 18-Month Prison Sentence For Tax Fraud
Peter Thomas has officially reported to prison to begin serving his 18-month sentence for tax fraud.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star checked into the Federal Correctional Institution in Miami on August 1, according to court records obtained by Us Weekly. It was believed he turned himself in earlier this summer after a post on his social media featured a photo of a prison sign.
He pleaded guilty in July 2024 to willfully failing to collect and pay employment taxes related to his restaurants totaling more than $2.5 million from 2017 to 2023.

In the Instagram post he shared a few months ago, Thomas warned other business owners not to repeat his mistakes. He wrote, “All my people told me not to post this, that I am crazy if I do. I am not CRAZY, just real as f***. The first thing I must say to all new business owners, please pay that withholding tax. You do not want to be in the position that I am right now.”
