Rapper BigXthaPlug Arrested On Drug & Gun Charges Shortly After Album Release Party
BigXthaPlug was arrested by Dallas police early Friday morning (August 22), just hours after his new album release party.
The rapper, real name Xavier Landum, was booked around 2:20 a.m. on two misdemeanor charges, one for possession of less than two ounces of marijuana and another for unlawful possession of a firearm.
According to police sources cited by WFAA, the 27-year-old was stopped in southeast Dallas during an investigation into a nearby street takeover. Officers reportedly approached his vehicle after noticing it had no tags. Upon making contact, they allegedly smelled marijuana and said BigX confirmed there was a firearm inside the vehicle.
No further details have been released at this time.

The arrest comes as BigX celebrates the release of his new album, I Hope You’re Happy, which features high-profile collaborations with country stars like Jelly Roll and Shaboozey.
This is the second time BigX has been detained in North Texas this year. He was arrested on a marijuana possession charge in Arlington back in February.
As of now, neither BigX nor his team has publicly commented on the situation.
