Producer Southside Cites His Loyalty To Young Thug As The Reason He Won’t Work w/ Gunna [VIDEO]
Southside is making it clear where he stands when it comes to Young Thug and Gunna.
During an appearance on Drink Champs, the music producer was asked if he would ever make beats for Gunna again. He said, “I ain’t making no beats for him. Right is right, wrong is wrong. I’m a street n**** at the end of the day. Slime [Young Thug] been my friend — like I made ‘Danny Glover’ for him.”
Southside continued, “That’s been my friend when he ain’t have teeth in his mouth — he was signed to Gucci Mane at first. So, that’s been my friend for a long time. So, I can never go against what he say.”

When N.O.R.E. pressed him on whether Gunna “violated” street code, Southside said he wouldn’t have done what Gunna did.
If you recall, Gunna accepted a plea deal in the YSL RICO case back in 2022, during which he acknowledged that YSL was a gang. Many, including some of Young Thug’s associates, saw this as an act of betrayal and labeled him a “snitch.”
