‘The Good Place’ Star Jameela Jamil Speaks Out On Dangers Of GLP-1 Meds Following Serena Williams’ 31-Pound Weight Loss
Jameela Jamil is calling for transparency.
After Serena Williams announced that she lost 31 pounds thanks to GLP-1 medications, actress Jameela Jamil took to Instagram to highlight the risks of the dr*gs.
She wrote, “The thing I feel most uncomfortable here is that celebrities have access to doctors most others don’t have access to. These ‘miracle’ weight loss drugs come at a price.”
Jamil listed the side effects of GLP-1 medications, including “paralysis of the gastric system, pancreatitis, cancer, hair loss, osteoporosis, severe malnutrition, muscle mass loss, depression (there have been reports of suicide), thyroid issues, blindness, and they can really wreak havoc on your metabolism.”

In the caption, she added, “I GOT THIS INFORMATION FROM THE WEBSITES OF THE DR*GS IN THE SIDE EFFECTS PAGES. You can go see for yourself. Go ahead and take the dr*g or anything you like. Please just make sure you have access to proper healthcare before you make the decision to take any dr*g that has drastic results.”
