Dame Dash Claims His Bluroc Label Has No Assets + Filmmaker Accuses Him Of Lying To Dodge $800K Judgement
Dame Dash claims his Bluroc record label was a failed venture with no assets, but the man he owes $800,000 says otherwise.
According to Complex, in a letter to a federal judge, Dash wrote, “Bluroc was one of several startup entities that were formed several years ago that never took off. As such, as far as I am aware (from recollection and searching my files), it does not have any musical assets, and it did not open up any bank accounts or receive monies.”
Josh Webber, who won a defamation judgment against Dash, is now challenging that claim. His attorney, Christopher Brown, fired back in court, saying, “Bluroc Records is alive and well,” pointing to the recent releases by The Black Guns and Nicky Licky, and the 2024 announcement of “Bluroc Indy” in Indiana.
Brown also noted a merger with The Dash Group LLC and wrote, “Dash’s statement is a falsehood contradicted by the musical releases of [Bluroc] on iTunes.”
