Deadline reports that the proposal to bring a Caesars Palace casino to Times Square has been rejected by the city’s Community Advisory Committee, a key hurdle in the approval process. The plan, a collaboration between Caesars Entertainment, SL Green, and Jay-Z’s #RocNation, sought to transform the 54-story 1515 Broadway building into a $5.4 billion hotel and gaming complex. The developers also promised a civil rights museum and $250 million in community investments, aiming to merge entertainment with cultural preservation.
