It’s alleged that the two are in early talks to headline Universal’s Miami Vice remake as James “Sonny” Crockett (Glen Powell) and Ricardo “Rico” Tubbs (#MichaelBJordan). The film will be directed by Joseph Kosinski (of Top Gun: Maverick) with a script by Dan Gilroy and production support from Dylan Clark.
If cast, Powell, also known for Top Gun: Maverick and Twisters, and Jordan would fill iconic roles originally made famous on TV by Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas. The remake is rumored to be released on August 6, 2027.
