Rod Wave Facing $27 Million Lawsuit After Abruptly Canceling His “Last Lap” Tour
#RodWave’s change of plans might end up costing him millions.
The rapper is facing a $27 million lawsuit from Grizzly Touring after allegedly breaching his contract during his “Last Lap” tour. Grizzly claims it advanced over $57 million to Rod and his team, Hit House Entertainment, to cover production and other expenses for 35 scheduled shows. However, only 26 shows were completed, resulting in a crazy shortfall.
To make matters worse, Grizzly claims Rod blew threw the advance money, spending the funds on things like a second property and traveling via private jets. The company also accuses Rod of violating exclusivity terms by planning a new tour through his own company. They seek repayment of the unearned advances and additional damages for lost profits.
