“RHOP” Stars Wendy & Eddie Osefo Reportedly NOT Facing Deportation Following Fraud Arrest, Despite Rumors Swirling Online

The rumor mill has been working overtime when it comes to Wendy and #EddieOsefo.

The Real Housewives of #Potomac couple shocked fans earlier this month after being arrested on felony charges tied to an alleged insurance-fraud scheme. Following their release, social media was flooded with speculation about what the allegations could mean for the pair, including claims that they were facing deportation. However, that rumor appears to be false. While both #Bravo stars were born in #Nigeria, they are reportedly naturalized U.S. citizens.

A law-enforcement source told The U.S. Sun that immigration officials with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) “have no detainers against them as of now.” Explaining how the process would typically work if deportation were a factor, the insider added, “Generally, what happens is the individual goes to trial, they get a sentence — assuming they’re found guilty, they’re sent to serve their sentence, and then upon their serving their sentence, ICE picks them up.”

As expected, the Osefos have remained mostly quiet amid their ongoing case. In her return to Instagram following the arrest, #WendyOsefo shared a brief but faith-filled message: “And through it all, GOD remains faithful.”
