NFL Rookie Shedeur Sanders Named Browns’ Starting Quarterback For Rest Of The Season
The #ClevelandBrowns may have fallen short on Sunday, but #ShedeurSanders’ performance was strong enough to secure his role at the top of the team’s QB roster.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed during his press conference today (Dec. 8) that Shedeur will remain the team’s starting quarterback for the remainder of the 2025 season. Stefanski noted that the decision reflects Shedeur’s steady growth, saying the staff evaluates all young players carefully. Stefanski added,
“He knows there are always going to be plays where he can be better and those types of things. But he’s very intentional about getting better each and every game he’s out there.”
#Shedeur stepped into the starting job in Week 11 after #DillionGabriel sustained a concussion against the #Ravens. Over four appearances, including three starts, Shedeur has completed 52.4 percent of his passes for 769 yards, throwing five touchdowns and three interceptions. In Sunday’s matchup with Tennessee, he posted 364 yards through the air with three touchdowns and one pick, and added 29 rushing yards and a score. His next test comes in Week 15 on the road against the #Bears, followed by matchups with Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati to close out the season.
