Gayle King Slams United Airlines After ‘Window Seat’ Turns Out to Be… No Window at All

Gayle King is calling out United Airlines after a long flight left her stuck in what was supposed to be a window seat — minus the actual window.

The veteran journalist took to social media to share her frustration, posting a photo of her seat assignment and asking, “When is a window seat not a window seat?” According to King, the seat she booked offered nothing but a solid wall, making for an especially annoying experience on an eight-plus-hour flight.

King revealed that even a flight attendant agreed the seat shouldn’t qualify as a window seat. “He said he had never seen anything like this,” she wrote, adding that while there was nothing the crew could do because the flight was full, she was encouraged to file a complaint with the airline.

This is me complaining,” King added bluntly, making it clear she wasn’t letting the issue slide. Despite the inconvenience, she tried to make the best of it, noting that the long flight at least gave her plenty of uninterrupted reading time.

The TV personality ended her post on a lighter note, reminding followers she’d be back to work soon and teasing her upcoming appearance on CBS Mornings — but not before making sure United heard her loud and clear.
