Normani Says She’s Eyeing A ‘Seafood Boil Station’ For Her Wedding Day w/ NFL Star DK Metcalf: ‘Everybody Smelling Like Crab Legs’
As Normani looks ahead to married life with NFL star DeKaylin “DK” Metcalf, the singer is already crystal clear about what absolutely must be right on her wedding day.
In a recent interview with E! News, Normani shared that two elements top her list when it comes to planning her upcoming nuptials. “Oh yeah, the music [has got] to be right and also the food. That stuff’s gonna be right,” she said.
When asked what kind of cuisine she’s envisioning for the reception, Normani revealed her personal favorite: seafood. Still, she admitted it could pose some unexpected challenges at an elegant affair.
“That would probably get a little messy,” she said. “Could you imagine? everybody smelling like crab legs and crawfish.”
Laughing at the idea, she added, “That’s me though. We’ll see.” The singer went on to tease a possible compromise, floating the idea of a “seafood boil station” while noting she’s “being innovative” to keep the vibe classy while staying true to herself.
As for the music, despite her extensive catalog as a solo artist and as a former member of Fifth Harmony, Normani made it clear guests shouldn’t expect her own songs on the playlist. When asked if her music was off-limits, she replied simply, “Maybe not there.”
DK Metcalf announced their engagement in March 2025, famously telling his fiancée to “hold that rock up” during a press conference—marking the start of their next chapter together.
TJB Crew, would you have a seafood boil station at your wedding?
