Ex-NFLer Darron Lee Asked ChatGPT For Advice On Covering Up Crime Scene After Allegedly K!lling His Girlfriend, Prosecutors Say

Some people really use ChatGPT for everything.

Former #Chiefs linebacker Darron Lee appeared in a Hamilton County courtroom on Monday (March 9) as prosecutors presented new evidence in the m*rder case against him following the de@th of his girlfriend, Gabriella Perpétuo, whose body was found inside their Tennessee home on Feb.?5. At the preliminary hearing, prosecutors introduced #ChatGPT messages they say Lee sent to the AI chatbot before police arrived at the scene. They argue that he used the tool “as a legal advisor, as a defense attorney,” to seek advice on how to “cover up a crime scene.”

One alleged prompt shown in court read, “Fiancée did her crazy thing again and now she’s messed up … she isn’t waking up or responding, what do I do?” followed by Lee asking what to tell a friend handling a non?responsive person before calling police.

Alongside the AI evidence, body?camera footage was played showing Lee telling deputies he didn’t know what happened and that he had been asleep when he found Perpétuo unresponsive, saying, “She wasn’t saying anything, and that’s when I called 911 … I was asleep for a long time.” Lee, 31, is charged with first?degree murder and faces additional evidence tampering allegations. He remains in custody without bond as the case moves forward.
