Diddy’s Twin Daughters Jessie & D’Lila Combs Open Up About Life Amid Family Headlines:
“We Are Also Individuals”
Jessie and D’Lila Combs are stepping into the spotlight on their own terms.
The 19-year-old twin daughters of Sean “Diddy” Combs and the late Kim Porter recently sat down with journalist Nishelle Turner for what was described as their first major interview since their father’s legal troubles and conviction. During the conversation, the sisters opened up about navigating public attention while working to establish identities outside of their famous last name.
As the twins continue building their fashion brand, 12TWINTY1, D’Lila acknowledged the unique pressure that comes with growing up in one of entertainment’s most recognizable families.
“People fail to understand that we are also individuals,” she explained, noting that she and her sister are focused on creating their own legacy while pursuing careers in fashion and business.
The interview also touched on the public scrutiny surrounding their father. At one point, one of the sisters appeared to separate their own journey from the headlines surrounding him, stating, “His press is his press,” signaling that while family remains important, they do not want to be solely defined by circumstances outside of their control.
Despite the challenges that have come with living much of their lives in the public eye, Jessie and D’Lila appear determined to honor the legacy of their mother, Kim Porter, while carving out a lane uniquely their own. Their message was clear: they want the public to see them not just as Diddy’s daughters, but as young women building a future for themselves.
