Roc Nation Shuts Down Claims That Jay-Z’s Next Studio Album Is Completely Finished: ‘Fake News’

Roc Nation wasted no time getting in front of #JayZ album rumors.

Music executive Ray Daniels recently said on his podcast that Jay-Z’s next album was already finished and simply awaiting a “partnership” before release. However, #RocNation shot down that claim, posting “’Album done’ … Fake news” on its Instagram Stories. Jay-Z hasn’t released a full-length solo project since 2017’s 4:44, though he teamed with #Beyoncé on 2018’s Everything Is Love. Speculation about new music has grown after he played three sold-out Yankee Stadium shows this year, announced additional dates in Los Angeles and London, and made a surprise appearance on Beyoncé’s remix of “Morning Dew (Bonk).”
