Not the best kept secret, but she’s finally comfortable sharing her exciting news with the public. Singer Kelly Rowland is engaged! The 32-year-old X Factor judge has confirmed that she is indeed engaged to her long-tim manager, Tim Witherspoon. She shared the news this week on The Queen Latifah Show admitting to the talk show host,

He put a ring on it.

She explained:

It’s been a while. We’ve kept it very, very low—for years, to be completely honest.

Queen Latifah was thrilled with the news and joked with the singer:

Because all my boys got crushes on you, so I’m like, ‘She has a man, leave her alone, she’s happy!’

Kelly added that he first asked her on Skype, and then when they were in Bulgaria together. Laughing, she recounted the proposal:

“He asked me first on Skype and I was like, ‘We’re so far away from each other.’

Adding:

But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, ‘I got my best friend to ride through life with.’ He really is my best friend.

A week earlier, she dodged questions on Arsenio Hall telling the talk show host:

Oh God, you stop it now…You know how private I am.

It’s good to know that both were comfortable letting the not-so-secret-out-the-bag. Congrats!
