Ava DuVernay & Samuel L. Jackson Slam Sylvester Stallone For Forgetting Michael B. Jordan At Golden Globes
Blame his heart, not his mind? Sylvester Stallone received a bit of criticism, after making his Golden Globes acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actor for the film Creed.
Apparently, the 69-year-old actor forgot to thank Michael B. Jordan, the star of the film, and Ryan Coogler the director.
Ava DuVernay tweeted her thoughts on the oversight, writing:
Well. I’m gonna go ahead and thank RYAN COOGLER + MICHAEL B. JORDAN since no one else is. Thank you, brothers. Good work. #smh #goldenglobes

And Samuel L. Jackson, along with Andre Harrell added,
#waitwaitwait, Ryan Coogler & Michael B Jordan, Thanks for acting with me!!! Loved Sly but… — Samuel L. Jackson (@SamuelLJackson) January 11, 2016
Happy rocky won but Sylvester Stallone must have been punch drunk not to thank #RyanCoogler and #MichaelBJordan

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Stallone did realize the mishap and thanked both Jordan and Coogle during the commercial break.
General consensus… Caught up in the moment. I’m good with that, ok?!Off camera thanks, works! — Samuel L. Jackson (@SamuelLJackson) January 11, 2016
