Recently, the ABFF Awards, sponsored by American Black Film Festival, invaded Hollywood. The purpose of the award ceremony was to honor outstanding African-American actors, movies, TV shows and other major entertainment figures, who serve as champions of the culture. Hilton Worldwide served as an official sponsor of the American Black Film’s Festival’s ABFF Awards. theJasmineBRAND.com correspondent @SmithWorldWide briefly chatted with Andrea Richardson, director Resorts and Multicultural marketing, about her favorite black film and why she feels inclusion is important. I love Love Jones. That’s like one of my favorites. I watch it on a rainy, cold night.
On Stacey Dash’s controversial comments about there not being a need for Black History Month and Black award shows:
We definitely need it. It’s a beautiful array of beautiful people and it’s all about inclusion, so we’ve got to be included
