Kerry Washington Announces Break From Social Media, ‘Scandal’ Will Not Return Until 2017
We all can use a break from social media and that is exactly what Kerry Washington is doing. Today, she posted on Instagram the following message:
It’s time for me to take a teeny break from social media. Feeling called to be a bit more quiet and still. Not sure how long it’ll last but don’t worry, I’ll be back soon enough. This space has become such a community. I’m very grateful. Thank you ? I’ll be thinking of youz and I’m sending love to you wherever you are… #MermaidGram
Earlier this month, it was reported that she and her husband Nnamdi Asomugha are expecting their second child together.
And in other news, if you’re a fan of Shonda Rhimes, be aware that your Thursday nights will NOT be the same.
Shonda’s hit show, Scandal will not return this fall. Today, it was missing from the fall 2016 lineup. Instead, a new show called Notorious, is set to take Scandal’s 9 p.m. slot during Shondaland’s “TGIT” Thursday night schedule. Both Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder will air per usual.
Reportedly, Scandal will return in 2017. We hear that the show is being pushed to next year, because of Kerry’s pregnancy.
